Google+ app on iPad… how to get around it

So with the Launch of Google + iphone app, I was excited. Then I found out I couldn’t install it on my iPad. BOOOO.  So I found a way around it;

(this works for ALL IOS devices)

You’ll need:

A Jailbroken iPad (google it)

A copy of the google + app (click here)

a PC or Mac to install G+ to.

Jailbreak app installous via Cydia

iPhone Explorer (click here)

(I’ll assume that you’ve already jailbroken your iPad)

Step 1: Via Cydia, install installous

step 2: Download the Google + app onto your Mac or PC

step 3: find the app you downloaded in the file system (the google +.ipa file)

step 4: connect your iPad to your machine and open iPhone explorer. If your iPad is already jailbroken you should have access to the root file system.

step 5: Place the downloaded G+ app into the following folder “root\var\mobile\Documents\Installous\Downloads”

step 6: Open Installous on your iPad and find the G+ app in the downloads folder. From there you can install it! open it up and you’re in business!

Optional:

Step 7: Since this is still just for the iPhone the stretched pixels don’t look good on the iPad. So look in Cydia and find retinaPad. With it you can blow up the app to iPad size without loose the look.
